Choosing the right specification for 1HP air conditioner copper tubes is crucial. Generally, the outer
diameter of high-pressure tubes (thin tubes) is 6.35mm 1/4inch, and that of low-pressure tubes
(thick tubes) is 9.52mm 3/8inch.
First, check the specifications : the pipe diameter should match. A 1HP air conditioner should be
equipped with a pipe of 6.35-9.52mm. Choosing the wrong one will greatly reducing the cooling effect.
Second, check the quality : high-quality red copper tubes have a smooth surface like a mirror, uniform wall thickness, and no cracks or peeling. Remember three figures: tensile strength of 200 megapascals, elongation of 40%, and electrical conductivity of 90%. Only when these meet the standards can they be considered genuine materials.
Third, check the refrigerant compatibility: ordinary copper tubes are paired with R22 refrigerant, while
the new environmentally friendly refrigerant R410A requires degreased copper tubes. Compatibility is
the key to achieving maximum efficiency.
